He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Shannon Bane and Esther Violett Bane (Robinett); his former wife Elsie Florence Layton; his son Arlis Sanford Bane, II; his grandson Justin Kane Moyer; and his siblings, William Friederich Bane, Shannon Jesse Bane, Townsend Leroy Bane, Regina Virginia Bane, Lena Rebecca Bane, Lelia Alverna Stotler, Ida Mae Constable, Adalea Lea Smith and Romonia Kathleen Abrell.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Eloise Friddle; his children, L. Jesse Bane of Fallston, MD, R. Lindy Bane of New Kent, VA, John W. Bane of Sanford, NC, Renee L. Marchand of Abingdon, MD, Grace E. Phillips of New Church, VA and Bonnie S. Muhleman of Clear Brook, VA; and his stepdaughter Wendy S. Shirah of Augusta, WV. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory (2807 Northwestern Turnpike, Capon Bridge, WV 26711). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
