He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Russell and Freda Lucille Grandon Cumpston; his siblings, Lucille Bartrug, Nancy Moore and Russell Cumpston; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Cumpston and Terry Bowman (Bud Cosgray).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Finnegan Cumpston; his daughters, Sherry Johnson of Cameron, WV, Peggy Cumpston of Moundsville, WV and Gail Porter (William) of Cameron, WV.; his siblings, Betty Stewart of Burton, WV, Janice Cosgray of Burton, WV, Rene Hanshue of Louville, Susan Bowman of Dublin, Ohio and Charles Jim Cumpston of Fort Dixon, NJ; his grandchildren, Danielle Hansen, Tyler Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Clara Simmons, Anna Simmons, Cody Cumpston, Caleb Cumpston and Derek Sharpenberg; his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Cassie, Dalton and Salem; and his pet Brutis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
