He is survived by: his parents, Leroy Hughes and Joy Hughes (DiMaina); his wife Maria Hughes (Messina); his children, Anthony Hughes of Connecticut, Alyssa Hughes of New York, Jillian Porch of Nevada, Douglas Hughes of New York and Zachary Messina of West Virginia; and his siblings, Karen Hearty, Raymond Hughes, Russ Hauss and Raymond Hauss. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
