He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. McElwee and Carrie A. Long McElwee; and his wife Jennifer G. Jones McElwee. He is survived by: his son Joseph "Joey" G. McElwee of Murphytown; his siblings, Claris Robinson (Glenn) of Doylestown, Billie Jo Lucas (Harold) of Akron, Vera D. Wilson of Parkersburg and James McElwee (Beverly) of Florida; and his grandchildren, Cammer Bolen and Elaina Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
