He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bill Smith and Hattie R. Douglas Smith; his former wife Helen Louise Byrd Smith; his wife Juanita Heater Brannon Smith; his children, Karlyn Smith and Michael Smith; his grandson Matthew "Tyler" Smith; his siblings, Lawson, Leo, Brooks Smith and Theresa Lattea; and his children-in-law, Charlotte Smith and Jerry Swiger.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Swiger (Donald) of Camden, George Smith (Debbie) of Weston, Pamela Swiger of Weston, Steven Smith (Ava) of Roanoke, Tony Smith of Roanoke and Randy Smith of Weston; his granddaughter Jamie Williams; and his brothers, Bernard Smith (Dorothy) of Jane Lew and Robert Smith of Weston. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandsons.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service (144 Hackers Creek Rd, Jane Lew, WV 26378). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
