He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Dutton and Helen Barringer Cowdery; and his siblings, Gerald, Donald, Jack Cowdery, Donna Cowdery and Doris Blake.

He is survived by: his close friend Pat Rumer of Vincent. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
