He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Edward and Anna Marie Peyton Cowan. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Lynn Foggin Cowan; his children, Renee Walker (Glenn) of Frostburg, MD, Ramona Tamura of Hawaii, Keturah Thornton of Vienna and Thomas Fury (Amy) of Marietta; and his siblings, Larry Cowan (Becky) of Cairo, Nancy Williamson (Jessie) of Georgia and Ed Maust (Carol) of Springs, PA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
