He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Willis Dawson and Margaret Dawson (Martin); his grandson Rodney Dawson; his great grandchild Alex Dawson; his son-in-law Andy Taylor; and his siblings, Richard Dawson and Sue Dawson Hultman.
He is survived by: his wife Leona Dawson (Hanlin); his children, Paul Dawson (Cathy) of Perkins, OK, Thomas M. Dawson, Jr. (Marty) of Frederick, MD, Teresa Bernard (Martin) of Gilchrist, Debra Wall (Chris) of Augusta, WV, Sharon See (Mackie) of Durgon, WV and Cindy Taylor (Rodney) of Moorefield, WV; and his pet Ruff. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; forty-nine great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
