He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Goldizen and Jennie Goldizen (Ours); his wife Naomi Ruth Phares Goldizen (Hedrick); and his siblings, Paul Goldizen, Andrew Goldizen and Carolina Carr.

He is survived by: his siblings, Cora Hinkle of Bridgewater, VA and John Goldizen (Josie) of Cabins, WV; and his sister-in-law Gloria Goldizen of Cabins, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
