With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janis D. Cook of Cabins, West Virginia, born in Portsmouth, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 3, 2024 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Clyde Smith and Mildred Jeanettie Smith (Cotton); her sisters, Joy Austin and Lynette Nelligar; and her son-in-law J. Andrew Frederick.
She is survived by: her husband William F. Cook; and her sister Sandra Minter of Suffolk, VA..
