He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Clarence Dayton and Nellie Dayton (Dettinburn); and his siblings, Johnny Dayton, Geneva Zirk and Mary Secrist.
He is survived by: his sons, Tim Dayton (Jenny) of Maysville, WV, Stacey Dayton (Beth) of Petersburg, WV and Trent Dayton (Kami) of Maysville, WV; and his siblings, Julia Foley of Arthur, WV and Robert "Bob" Dayton (Margaret) of Lahmansville, WV.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
