It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ivan Turner of Cabins, West Virginia, born in Onego, West Virginia, who passed away on January 11, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Turner and Zona Mae Turner (Davis); and his brothers, Herman Turner and Roosevelt Turner. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn S. Turner (Reed); his children, Connie Wimer (Brent) of Onego, WV, Jeremy Turner (Rebecca) of Lahmansville, WV and Billy Reed (Debbie Burns) of Maysville, WV; his siblings, Dorothy Warner of Onego, WV, Bruce "Pete" Turner (Helen) of Cabins, WV, Joe Turner (Mary) of Onego, WV and Jake Turner of Bloomery, WV; and his pet Newton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
