He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Harrison and Zernie Alice VanMeter (Alt); his siblings, Calvin, Emmit, Archy, David, Ronnie, Coye and Evelyn Bargeron; and his great grandchild Brylei.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Virginia VanMeter (Iman); his children, Donna Weese (Roy) of Maysville, WV, Beverly Feaster (James) of Burlington, WV, Ed VanMeter (Cheryl) of Cabins, WV, Jacob Lee VanMeter (Barbara) of Waco, TX, Mike VanMeter of Cabins, WV and Donald W. VanMeter of Purgitsville, WV; and his sisters, Zadie Helmick of New Market, VA and Judy Helmick of Petersburg, WV. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home (501 N Fork Hwy, Petersburg, WV 26847). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
