She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas Blaney and Bertha Blaney White; her husband Robert G. Shaffer; her children, Dixie Atkins and Gary A. Shaffer; and her brother Dallas Blaney, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Ruth Taketa (Denny) of Burlington, WV and Brenda Everett (Greg) of Romney, WV. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
