She was predeceased by: her parents, Hughie Alfred Helmick and Nina Violet Helmick (Alt); her husband William "Bill" VanMeter; and her siblings, Dorothy Helmick Van Meter, Mary Ellen Helmick Moyers, Wanda Lee Helmick Brill, Berkley Helmick, Stanley and Lloyd Helmick.
She is survived by: her daughter Angie VanMeter of Maysville, WV; her grandchildren, Janice Smith of LaVale, MD, Melissa Van Meter (Michael) of Maysville, WV, Stacy Dolly of Petersburg, WV and Haise Clinton Dolly of New Creek, WV; and her brother Jim Helmick of Petersburg, WV. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
