He is survived by: his children, Donald James "D. J." Charlton of Petersburg, WV, Sarita Cheryl Charlton of Burlington and Anita Lynn Waters (Jay) of Burlington; and his grandchildren, Donald D. Charlton, III, Matthew Flynn Charlton, Macenzie Nicole Blankenship, Ian MacKaye Charlton, Paige Nicole Zais, Urijyah Chauncey Steven Riggleman and Nathaniel A. Charlton. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
