He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wilbur Vivian Ayers and Opal Lucille Gulf Ayers; his wife Ursula Annemarie Ayers; his daughters, Deanna Harris, Sandra Fox and Terri Kearns; his stepson Jörg Spielmann; his grandchildren, Courtney of Meghan, D. J. and Andrew; his siblings, Buck Ayers, Charlie Ayers, Rex Ayers, Kay Cantrell, Deanna Welch and Rita Cusick; his stepson Peter Smet; and his sisters, Gail Ayers and Sherri Harrison.
