He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Earnest and Susie Love Nickens (Travis); his wife Beverly June Nickens; his son Virgil Stamps; his siblings, Selma Hill, Charles Nickens Jr., Lewis Nickens, George Irvin Nickens and Willard Nickens; and his nephew Gregory Hill.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Jerri; his children, Travis Nickens (Amber), Jear'don Taylor and Stephen Stamps; his grandchildren, Xavier Nickens, Tristan Nickens, Janessa Nickens, Natasha Hope, Desire Ford, Ciera Ford, Dominque Ford, Pau'Anthony Stamps and Stephen Stamps Jr.; his siblings, Nina Nickens, James Nickens, Walter Nickens and Joseph Nickens; and his nephews, Gerald Nickens, Glen Nickens, Joseph Nickens Jr. and Guyler Hill.
