He is survived by: his wife Roberta Jones Varner; his son Courtney Lambert Varner (Jessica) of Hement, CA; his siblings, Junior Franklin Varner of Jacksonville, FL, Loye "Ira" Burns (Bobbie) of Thomas, WV, Herman Burns (Cindy) of Thomas, WV and Becky "Sissy" Sharp of Parsons, WV; his stepfather Hank Burns (Rhoda) of Thomas, WV; his great-niece Brittany Burns Carr (Tyler) of Oakland, MD; his great-nephews, Brian Burns of Oakland, MD and Brandon Burns of Oakland, MD; and also James Jones of Bunker Hill, WV.
