He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Butcher and Mildred Moana Moats Adleman; his children, Tommy Moats and Belinda Moats; his siblings, Esta Mae Dunn, Betty Lee Sanford, Dana Moats and Kenneth Shoulders; his nephews, Timmy and Danny Goldsmith; and his great-nephew Danny Goldsmith Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Dalia Castillo, Melissa Garcia, Richard Moats and Robert Moats; and his siblings, Garnett Downy, Roy Moats and Sandra Peters. He is also survived by five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
