With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stephen Allen Holmes of Buckhannon, West Virginia, who passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Stephen Allen leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Burton Holmes and Mildred M. Peterson Holmes; and his granddaughter Cheyenne Cunningham. He is survived by: his sons, Stephen A. Holmes, II (Cameron Wilson) of Buckhannon and Brian D. Holmes of Buckhannon; his grandchildren, Katrina Duckworth of Morgantown, Liam D. Day of Buckhannon and Stephen "Phen" Dean Holmes of Buckhannon; his great grandchildren, Trenton Moran of Buckhannon, Sebastian of Morgantown and Myles Duckworth of Morgantown; and his cousins, Craig and Judy Peterson.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Riverbend Golf Course (591 Evun Breth Acres, Buckhannon, WV 26201).
