She was predeceased by: her parents, Coleman Goodwin (Tobe) and Mary Miller Goodwin; her husband Gordon Sands; her siblings, Gerald, Merle Gene, Jimmie Ray, Kenny, Wanda and Wilda; and her brother-in-law James Perkins.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Perkins of Buckhannon, Steve Perkins (Donna) of Buckhannon, John Perkins (Faye) of Utah, Scott Perkins of Elkins, Becky Butta (Jim) of Bridgeport, Judy Bennett (Chuck) of Moatsville and Tammie Canterbury (Donald) of Buckhannon; and her grandchildren, CJ Butta, Jason Bennett (Christy), Brock Perkins (Sabrina), Felisha Perkins, Michael Perkins (Patsy), Matthew Perkins and Sarah Nesbitt (Ernie Marn). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
