She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Linger and Helen Lane Linger. She is survived by: her sons, Christopher McCarthy of Welch, WV, Benjamin McCarthy of Buckhannon and Jedidiah McCarthy (Bobbi) of Lewis County, WV; her siblings, Steve Linger (Roseann) of Buckhannon, Gary Linger (Susan) and Deborah Hinchman of Buckhannon; and her friend Donna Zickefoose of Buckhannon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was a big animal lover and would often donate to the Upshur/Lewis Animal Shelter.
