She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Rice and Jessie Mae Haymond Rice; her former husband Wade Summerfield; and her siblings, Beatrice Walton, Oliver and William "Bill" Rice.
She is survived by: her daughter Joanie Walton (Garry) of Kanawha Head, WV; her stepchildren, Chris Tenney of Buckhannon and Frani Cremer (Chris) of Silverthorne, CO; her grandson Garrett Walton (Stephanie) of Kanawha Head; her stepgrandchildren, Nick Tenney (Ashley) of Nutter Fort, WV, Cameron Tenney (Aylissa) of Hurricane, WV, Zac Cremer (Kara) of Gunnison, CO, Abby of Bozeman, MT and Madison Cremer of Bozeman, MT; her great grandchildren, Raymond Walton of Kanawha Head and Harley Walton of Kanawha Head; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Carter, Athena Tenney of Nutter Fort, Meredith, Claire, Addison Tenney of Hurricane and Ryder Cremer of Gunnison; and her sister Sylvia Spencer (Paul) of Kanawha Head. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home (95 S Kanawha St, Buckhannon, WV 26201). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
