He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hamner and Arnie Wyatt Hamner; his spouse Alpha Skelton; his siblings, George Junior Hamner and Dorothy Ann Radcliff; and his siblings-in-law, Luella McKenzie Hamner, Katherine Delores Bauer, Vera Barber, Harry, Fred, Gene, Jeff and Steve Skelton.
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Currence (Billy) of Buckhannon; his granddaughters, Kirsten Howes (Jaired) of Buckhannon and Kasey Currence of Buckhannon; his siblings, Tom Hamner (Janet) of Indian Camp, WV, Paul Hamner (Liz) of French Creek, WV and Linda Hamner Reaser of Harrisville, WV; and his siblings-in-law, Pete Skelton (Millie) of Buckhannon, Hearlon Radcliff of Volga, WV, Debbie Hamner of Glady Fork, WV and Cheryl Hamner of Alexander, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
