He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Beckner and Reva Robinson Beckner; his wife Ellen Rae Nutter-Beckner; and his siblings, Leonard, William, Ronald, Richard, Daniel Beckner, Dortha Beckner, Betty Riffle, Hazel Mace, Karen Nethken, Nancy Durant and Reta Buss.
He is survived by: his children, Lora Small (Herl) of Buckhannon and David Wayne Beckner (Traci) of Pocohontas County, WV; his siblings, Sherry Posey (Jerry) of Painesville, OH, Linda Mealey of Buckhannon, Connie Canter of Buckhannon and Jim Beckner (Sue) of Buckhannon; his nephew Tony Durant of Buckhannon; and his grandchildren, Johnathan, Eli Beckner, Jimmy and Breanna Navarrete. He is also survived by eight granddaughters; four grandsons; nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home (95 S Kanawha St, Buckhannon, WV 26201). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses.
