He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Shahan and Juanita Jones Shahan; his brothers, Kenneth Shahan, William Shahan and Jack Shahan; and his sister-in-law Debbie Shahan.

He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Mick (Bill) of Buckhannon, Eula Drake of Canton, Wayman Shahan of Canton and Roger Shahan (Cathy) of Louisville, Ohio.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
