He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Carl (Mary McKelvey). He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth McKelvey; his children, Christopher Carson of Buckhannon, Makayla Samudio-Roulstin (Marc Anthony) of San Antonio, TX and Alma Ann Carson (Alex Pena) of Buckhannon; his grandchildren, Camela, Luchiano Samudio-Roulstin and Josephine "Josie" Carson; his parents, John "Sherman" Carson (Kate Blake) of Buckhannon and Kathy Moore Bennett of North Carolina; his siblings, Patty Boone of Buckhannon and Matthew Carson of Morgantown; his niece Kelsie Payne (Cameron); his nephew Bobby Barnett (Breanna Perry); and his close friend Karla Mealey of Buckhannon. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clutter Funeral and Cremation (21 Elnora Circle, Buckhannon, WV 26201). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Clutter Funeral Home Chapel (21 Elnora Circle, Buckhannon, WV 26201).
