It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Owen Woody (Buckhannon, West Virginia), who passed away on May 22, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Taft and Nellie Beatrice Bennett Woody; and his siblings, Everett Henry Woody, Wayman Woody and Mamie Starkey.
He is survived by: his wife Christina A. Albertson Woody; his daughters, Kellie Woody-Hyre (Jeff) of Buckhannon and Melanie Shreve (Bubba) of Buckhannon; his stepdaughter Letitia Staten (Donnie) of Valley Bend; his grandchildren, Sierria Staten, Tyler Shreve, Dalton Hyre (Taylor), Wade Staten, Coleman Shreve, Mackenzie Staten, Mason Hyre and Briston Hyre; and his sisters, Mary Meivogel (John) of Madison, OH, Sue Zoeffel of Buckhannon, Dottie Shaw of Buckhannon and Gae Johnston (Robert) of Buckhannon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
