It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zona Lee Hoover (Buckeye, West Virginia), born in Durbin, West Virginia, who passed away on August 10, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Lee and Tressie Lambert Halterman; her son Michael D. Thompson; and her siblings, Anna Mae Boothe, Edith Gillinwater, Eva Riley, William Robert Halterman and Marvin Lewis Halterman.
She is survived by: her children, Mona Gayle Burns of Alabama, Judy Ann Brooks of Spotsylvania, VA, Alfred Lee Thompson of Spotsylvania, VA and Roger Lee Ober (Kim) of Huntersville; her grandchildren, Kendall Ober, Tammy Madison, Kimberly Ackerman (Fred) and Stephanie Copeland (Craig); and her great grandchildren, Katherine Ackerman, Cade Copeland and Garcie Copeland. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
