He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred C. Alkire and Areta Aegan Alkire; and his brother William Alkire. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Conrad Alkire; his sons, Robert II (Teresa) of Marlinton and Corey (Laura) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Kyleen, Chase Alkire of Marlinton and Mason Alkire of Charleston; and his brother Glen Alkire.
