He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Hager and Eva Depriest Hager; his son Douglas Hager; and his brothers, Ernie, Woodrow, Bob, Freddie and Paul Hager.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Sharp Hager; his children, Andy Gregory of Hamlin, William Bill Hager of Red House, Steven Irvine of Marlinton, Jimmy Layman of Richmond, VA, Rae Jean Bates of Teays Valley and Angela Irvine of Marlinton; and his sister Jeanie Shato of Patriot, OH. He is also survived by several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
