It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Homer Jack Burks of Buckeye, West Virginia, born in Sutton, West Virginia, who passed away on February 24, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mose and May R. Roberts Burks; his wife Pauline Mae Wamsley Burks; his son William Michael Burks; and his brothers, Bill, Paul and Earl Burks.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Elaine Wright (David) of Colorado Springs, Jackie Lynn Burks (Jeanne O'Toole) of Alexandria, VA, David Paul Burks of Buckeye, Daniel Keith Burks (Gertrude) of Buckeye and James Ray Burks (Toni) of Ravenswood; and his sisters, Evalee Mullens of Bluefield and Evelena Triplett of Raintown Road. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
