Franklin Roosevelt Carpenter Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Franklin Roosevelt Carpenter of Buckeye, West Virginia, who passed away on May 20, 2023 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Franklin Roosevelt Carpenter to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin "Frank" Carpenter and Georgia Weiford Carpenter; his daughter Penny Gayl Gum; his siblings, Jewell Biggs, Nellie Carpenter, William Carpenter and Johnnie Carpenter; his nieces, Pam Carpenter and Charlotte Turner; and his nephew Tim Wiseman.

He is survived by: his close friend Tink Gum; his sons, Frank Triplett (Deloris) of Marlinton and Jerry Gum (Angie Borden) of Woodstock, VA; his brother Stewie Carpenter of Marlinton; and his grandsons, Adam Triplett, Josh Gum and Tristan Gum.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg or the Pocahontas County Veterans Honor Corp.
