He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gaston and Gladys Simmons Roach; and his siblings, Lance, Kenneth, Garland, Randolph, Don Roach, June Tuck, Evelyn Thorpe, Phyllis Cuckler, Rose Ellen Thompson, Bonnie Leete and Gail Harper.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Lambert Roach; his children, Darrell Roach (VA), Travis Roach (VA), Tina Nicely (WV), Kathy Mason (WV) and Beth Baylor (PA); and his brothers, Steve Roach (SC) and Erick Roach (VA). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
