With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Braelynn Raene Peteete (Buckeye, West Virginia), born in Elkins, West Virginia, who passed away on October 24, 2021 at the age of 8. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her uncles, Garry "Bubba" Preusse Jr. and Randall "Randy" Preusse; her cousin Mason Chandler; and her great-grandparents, Elward Schumann, Wilhelmina, Alfred Preusse, Sybil, Allen Peteete and Bill Kucera.

She is survived by: her parents, James Allen Jr. and Rebecca Lea Peteete (Preusse); her grandparents, Garry Sr., Laura Preusse of Taylor, Steve and Laurie Bailey of Bryan, TX; her aunts, Terrie Chandler (Billy) of Taylor, TX and Erika Bailey of Hagerston, MD; her uncle Travis Bailey of Putallup, WA; her cousins, Tayton Chandler, Garryn Chandler, Hailey Chaney, Tiffany "Tippy" Chaney and Chloe Chaney; and her great-grandparents, Jeanette Schumann of Austin, TX and Dorothy Kucera of Bryan, TX. She is also survived by numerous great aunts, great uncles and second cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to Green Bank Elementary/Middle School to help purchase books in honor of Braelynn's love to read.
