She was predeceased by : her husband Mathias Ellis (Buddy). She is survived by : her daughter-in-law Frankie Brown Ellis; her granddaughter Brandi Ellis Nester; her siblings, Cora Deflumeri, Reba Mitchell, Sharon Walls, Patricia Grimmett, Eugene and Gary Grimmett; her sons, Bernard Ellis (Natalie), Donald Ellis (Debbie) and Darren Ellis (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Bridgette Ellis, Lakein Gibson (Josh), Aaron Ellis (Amanda), Sara Blankenship, Katie Randolph (Matthew), Heather Hall (Jordan), Rachel Ellis and Christopher Ellis; and her siblings, Sherman Grimmett (Margaret), Wanda Gibson, Arlon Grimmett (Joan), Jackie Grimmett (Sherri), Terry Grimmett and Dallas Grimmett (Teresa). She is also survived by extended family, church family, and friends.
Due to Covid-19, the family requests that all who attend the services for Shelby wear facial masks, and practice social distancing.
