He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ellis and Edith Ellis (Vickers); his grandfathers, Cleveland Vickers (Myrtle) and Albert Ellis (Lorentha); his siblings, Donald, Jerry Lee Ellis, Peggy Browning and Carol Hilbert; and his siblings-in-law, Weymouth Pete Adkins, Vaughn Browning, Lloyd Hilbert, David Finley, LeRoy Toler, Dorothy Toler Dawson, Sheila Toler Finley and Susan Pack Ellis.
He is survived by: his niece Trisha Bryant; his wife Carolyn Ellis (Toler); and his nephews, George R. Ellis, Jr., David, Bo, Joshua Vanover of Jordan Ellis, T. J and Trenton Hilbert. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other dear friends.
