She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Ray Matheny; her father Silas Ray Matheny (Delia Mae Michael Matheny); her sister Doloris; her brother-in-law Nolan Swecker; her brother James Douglas Thorne; her sister-in-law Dawn Thorne; her grandson Justin Smith; her niece Sonia Ritter; her brother Bill; and her sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Thorne and Mary Lee Thorne.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Matheny of Bruceton Mills, James Michael Matheny of Glendale, Lori Leigh Mezzano of Morgantown, WV and Melisssa Jo Margroff of Confluence, PA.; her grandchildren, Larissa DeWitt (Bill), Danielle Pernu (Addy), Nadine Mezzano (Ciera Matheny), Jason Jones (Jessica Wolfe), Will Price (Charles Margroff), Alicia Booth (Iris Matheny) and Paige Spiva (Dave); her great grandchildren, Emma DeWitt and Maxwell Wolfe; her great great grandchild Ellis Jones; and her siblings, John, Carolyn Thorne of Letart, WV, Paul Thorne of Pleasant Garden, NC, Roseanne and Larry Sims of Fort Ashby, WV..
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Olive Branch Church (Formerly the Bruceton United Methodist Church) (285 Compressor Station Rd, Bruceton Mills, WV 26525).
