He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald E. Maxwell and Mary Wisner; his sister Mildred Henry; and his brother-in-law Tom Henry. He is survived by: his wife Betty Crane Maxwell; his children, Fon Canatella (Tim) of Rising Sun, MD and Lanny Maxwell (Brenda) of Bruceton Mills, WV; and his grandchildren, Rachel Sollerer (Sol), Jessica Canatella, Sarah Reid (Paul), Kelly Canatella, Brooke Maxwell and Grant Maxwell. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
