He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward Simmons and Ronnica Lee Hall Simmons; and his father-in-law William Leslie Bland. He is survived by: his close friends, Precious and Dora; his wife Jennifer Lynn Bland Simmons; his children, William "Matthew" Simmons of Bristol, Ashley of Bristol, Daniel Edward Simmons of Bristol, Jeffrey Michael Simmons of Bristol and Danielle Marie Simmons of Bristol; his grandchildren, Anna Cherree Simmons and Elijah Matthew Simmons; his sister Christine Lynn Bonner (Rodney); and his mother-in-law Bertha "" Davis Bland of Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
