He was predeceased by: his parents, Uri Hezekiah Grimes and Onda Mae Jeffries; his stepfather Homer Snyder; his son Jeffrey Grimes; and his father-in-law Von Paul Elder.
He is survived by: his son Michael Paul Grimes (Misty Dawn) of Taylor County; his granddaughter Savannah Grimes; his sister Elsie Alltop of Coxs Mills; and his pet Rubin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Burnside Funeral Home (607 S Virginia Ave, Bridgeport, WV 26330). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
