He was predeceased by: his parent Arthur Smith. He is survived by: his parent Charlene Simmons Smith; his children, Brandon S. Smith of Summersville, WV and Brittany C. Currey (Nick) of Morgantown, WV; and his brother Rodney Smith of Lafayette, LA.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in their father's memory to Celebrate Recovery, Clarksburg Baptist Church, 501 West Pike Street, Clarksburg, WV 26301.
