He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Marteny and Venola Marteny (Shahan); his siblings, Barbara Marteny, Terry Jo Johnson, Brenda James, Nancy Lewis Stout, Randy Marteny and Steven Marteny; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Marteny, Kenneth Wheeler, Thomas Wheeler and Donald James.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon S. Marteny (Gowers); his children, Roger N. Marteny, Jr. (Laura) and Lisa L. Marteny (Melody Carter) of Cross Lanes, WV; his grandsons, Jacob Marteny of Houston, TX, Ian Marteny of Broadview, OH and Gage N. Carter-Marteny; and his siblings, Nelson Marteny (Kathleen) of Ft. Myers, FL, Linda James (Jeff Bain) of Lake Butler, FL, Carol Wheeler of Clarksburg and Shirley Wheeler of Akron, OH.
