He was predeceased by: his parent John Newton Tackett. He is survived by: his parent Mary Tatum Tackett; his wife Lucille Tackett; his children, Duke Tackett of Bridgeport and Karen Propst (Duane) of Franklin; and his grandsons, Corey Propst of Franklin, Jeremiah Propst of Franklin and Zachary Propst of Franklin. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
