He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Betty Compton (Davis); his stepdaughter Cathy Egan (Stopiak); his daughter-in-law Sherri Compton (Tresize); his siblings, Edith Summers, Lilly Moran, Katherine Sinsel, Bernice Hovatter, Doris Compton of Arthur Veyon, CE and William "Bill" Compton; his brother-in-law Victor Moccia; his children, Ann Compton, Richard "Gene" Compton of Bridgeport and Judy Way (Joe) of Bridgeport; his caregiver Andrea Alfred (Stopiak) of Clarksburg; his grandchildren, Richard "Richie" Compton (Carla), Jonathan Compton (Loretta), Michelle Compton (Chris Marks), Shaun Egan, Stephanie Iaquinta (Jordan Goff), George "Sonny" Todd (Elizabeth), Carl Todd (Kim), Jason Todd and Kerri Hyman; his father Pappa (June); and his uncle Junior. He was also cherished by 17 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.
