He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrill Wilson Chace and Ruth Chace; his former wife Beverly Ann Chace (Colby); and his wife Toni A. Keenan Chace (Finateri). He is survived by: his children, William Henry Chace of East Haven, CT, Jeffrey Wayne Chace of Bridgeport and Barbara Jean Plude (Chace) of Stratford, CT; his stepson Eddie Keenan (Diane); his stepgranddaughter Coleen Keenan; and his siblings, Deanna L. Chace Shovelton (Richard) and Donald Garfield Chace. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
