Marlene B. Steele Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 13, 2022, at the age of 90, Marlene B. Steele of Bridgeport, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marley Bowen and Mary Lucille Bowen (Barnes); her husband Lester E. Steele; her siblings, Joy Gerrard, Edward Bowen and Eugene Bowen; her niece Wendy Calkins; and her nephews, Joseph Bowen, Rick Gerrard and Dana Bowen.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Julia Furbee, Lisa Bowen McCartney, Virginia, Phyllis Steele, Salem, Robert Gerrard (Trina), David Bowen (Cheryl) and Donald Bowen (Shirley); and her great-niece Jamie Brown.
Due to Covid concerns, there will be no public service and Marlene will be laid to rest next to Lester at Bridgeport Cemetery.
She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church and Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Foundation of WV; and the Ladies Auxiliary of Military Order of the Purple Heart of USA.
