He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marvin D. "Red" Pierson and Edna Church Pierson; his wife Mary Margaret; his children, John Pierson of Lost Creek, WV and Jessica Moore (Jamie) of Morgantown, WV; his grandchildren, Luciana and Henry Moore; his brothers, Patrick Pierson (Anna Marie) of Wilmington, DE and Stephen Pierson (Cindy Zamzow) of Fairfax, CA; his niece Holly Pierson; his cousins, Bobby and Sandy Earley; his grandfather Frontier Days; and his friends, Robbie Curtin, Chris, Judy Byrd, Randy and Carla Kesling.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family has chosen to mark his passing with a private service, but will hold a celebration of life on a future date.
