He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Bowman and Mamie Thomas Bowman; and his siblings, Nancy Queen, Jessie Rosser, James Bowman, Fredie Bowman, Clara Belle Bowman, Retha Carter and Virginia Herron.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Taylor Bowman; his children, Jo Bowman White (David) and Jay Edward Bowman (Tracy); and his siblings, Louise Sivnksty of Fairmont, Melvin Bowman of Cleveland, OH and Monsel Herron (Barbara). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
